The pain
Attendance Recovery only works if you can identify the students and prove the hours.
Eligibility lives in school-day attendance data that program staff rarely see. Running a compliant session means tracking student-to-teacher ratios, making sure a credentialed teacher is present and attests, and logging every hour correctly against each student’s recoverable balance. Miss one piece and the recovered funding is at risk.

Attendance Recovery reads absences from Aeries, PowerSchool and Q (Aequitas) as applicable, and shows how many hours each student can recover. The sync is read-only and one-way, and it runs multiple times a day. The SIS stays the system of record.

Staff take attendance for sessions led by a credentialed teacher, wherever and whenever recovery happens.

Verify the hours
The teacher reviews participation, adjusts partial hours, and signs. Hours don’t count until the teacher attests.
